Vacancy for field project offcier in Binh Dinh, RECERD

RECERD is looking for a field project offcier to co-ordinate these activities for supporting the implementation of the project “Strengthening ecology services to improve the climate change adaptation in Quy Nhon, Binh Dinh”.
 
Research Center for Resources and Rural Development (RECERD) is a VNGO under the Union of Science and Technology Vietnam (VUSTA). It has a headquarter in Hanoi and a branch in Can Tho, Viet Nam. RECERD is working in areas scientific research, implementation of the projects and programs on conservation, rational use of resources, biodiversity, agriculture and sustainable rural development.
 
Currently, we are supporting the implementation of the project “Strengthening ecology services to improve the climate change adaptation in Quy Nhon, Binh Dinh”, focus on three 3 main activities:
-          Providing technical support and monitor the community based co-management system in mangrove plant at Thi Nai lagoon, Binh Dinh province;
 
-          Providing technical support and monitor the livelihood for households that exploit aquatic products at Thi Nai Lagoon, support them in changing to grow mangrove plant (collaboration with Binh Dinh Aquatic Exploitation and Conservation Department);
 
-          Providing technical support and monitor community based eco – tourism activities at Thi Nai Lagoon (collaboration with Con Chim Ecology Management).
 
RECERD is looking for a field project offcier to co-ordinate these activities.
·        Main task: the local staff will support RECERD in carrying out field activities and closely work with other related stakeholders in Binh Dinh
 
Main responsibilities:
 
-          To represent RECERD to support the project activities in Binh Dinh; working closely with CCCO/DONRE and related departments involved in the project;
 
-          To co-ordinate and support for other advisors of RECERD working in community based eco-tourism and livelihood  (aquaculture, agriculture, etc);
 
-          To monitor the implementation of the project activities and report to RECERD’s team leader in Ha Noi;
 
-          To support RECERD’s advisor team to co-ordinate project activities at the field (Phuoc Son, Phuoc Thuan, and Nhon Binh communes).
 
·        Output:
 
-          Activities handled on time as planned,
 
-          Monthly report & photos,
 
-          Report of the outputs of the project to the supervisors,
 
-          Monitoring reports
 
Requirements
 
-          University graduate in community development, business administration, environment, social work,  tourism, aquaculture, forestry or agriculture
 
-          At least 1 - 2 years relevant work experience
 
-          Having skills and experience at working with communities and the DONRE, DARD, Industrial Zone, and tourist companies in Binh Dinh,
 
-          Having skills in computer and reporting
 
-          Understand local conditions
 
·        Work in Quy Nhon, Binh Dinh
 
·        Salary: negotiations
